The art of typography is deeply rooted in our family, dating back in the 1940s, when our grandfather Michalis Perimenis was first inducted into it as an employee at the Aspioti-ELKA factory, the greatest typography factory of that time.
In 1961, he attempts to set up our first family business downtown, right in the heart of Athens, in Themistokleous street. It was an artistic print shop, focusing on printing invitations. Accompanied by our father, George, who indulged into the secrets of the printing press right next to our grandfather’s side, they both signaled the beginning of a brand new era in the field, which proved to be a long-lasting one.
In 2004, having already been engaged in the business and having been guided by the experience and the expertise we inherited, we infused flesh-and-blood in the vision of “Prototypon”. Our love and crave for creation assembled with our need to give in return the trust of all those who showed confidence in our services, were the key factors that urged us to evolve and expand. We therefore – without quitting our traditional print house in Themistokleous – set up our second one, a contemporary one, in Solonos street wishing to satisfy the needs of our contemporary times. We constructed our own production rooms – atelier, cooperating with professionals who did not only devote their exceptional expertise but also their passion in our endeavour to accomplish our vision and encompass the favours and the wedding-christening items to the initial invitation.
The regular invitation is not simply a piece of paper to us, it is your living dream compiled by the sense of quality and luxury.
